Gideon Brazilian Jiu Jitsu offers the best training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the Bloomington/ Normal area with a precise program structure for all levels, whether you are a beginner or experienced martial artist. We provide a safe, friendly, family oriented environment that allows our students to improve upon their BJJ skills set while at the same time maintaining the integrity of the art. Our school was established to provide the highest level of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instruction given by highly experienced instructors to the students in a safe, progress-oriented learning environment. Gideon Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school to come to the Bloomington area. We have had the honor to pass on our knowledge from real life experiences to our students. In over the twenty plus years of doing so, Gideon has produced many champions in BJJ and Striking competitions. However, not everyone joins to compete, most people join to simply learn how to defend themselves. This is our number one priority for all of our students. With unfortunate situations that some of our students have been confronted with, like kids being bullied at school or adults attacked at college or on vacation, we take great pride in stating that all of our students have been able to successfully defend themselves in every incident!
Our programs are designed to meet the specific learning needs of people from different ages and all backgrounds of life. Being in a safe, clean, friendly and progress-minded environment allows for both a challenging and inspirational learning and training experience that aims to encourage and make students excited to come back for more!
